Comments: Just returned from our 28th Reunion held in San Diego, CA. Had a great time as always and we had 1 new member and his wife attend and a shipmate from my time frame who is a Life Member that this was his 1st Reunion. Thanks to everyone that attended. Comments: I was on the Owens from May67 till Oct69---damage control---worked with the ship fitters---always wonder what happened to the ship. Never new about the reunions.

Comments: my dad was a machinist on the JCOwens from 1944-1946,I think. He then was on the USS Arkansaa BB33 in 1946. If there is any one who was on the ship when he was and remembers him, I would love to correspond. His name was Edward Hubsch and probably was known as Eddie "Hipps".
