I've just returned home from the JC Owens 24th reunion which was held in Norfolk, VA. Thank you one and all for everyone's help, from the reunion planners, to the folks that help in the hospitality room. I know the tours were
a hit as the banquet was. It's the people that attend that
make it great. If you didn't make it this year, please plan
on being at our BIG 25th REUNION in Tuscon, AZ. in Oct.
Thanks again for another GREAT REUNION everyone.

It is really great to know that after all these years and many more "sea miles" that Owens is still there. Looking at the names of old shipmates brings back memories of Charleston, Bermuda, Gitmo, 2 Med trips and various other deployments including one of my first and coldest, SlamEx off the coast of Newfoundland. Keith, this post is for you:)

Greg (the Stupid) Flanigan here again. I meant to put the word "not" in the sentence about the Naperville reunion. It should have read "Those who did NOT attend the reunion missed a heckuva good time. Sorry about that. Old age creeping up on me, no, it is galloping up on me.

Would you please list my brother ( Robert P. Curran ) in the James C. Owens memorial. I beleave he was a GM/1 or 2 on the Owens. He joined the Navy from Medford, Mass. and went on to complete 30 and 1/2 years in the Navy. He passed away Oct. 25, 1999.
